Amanda Addleman is a San Francisco-based vocalist, pianist, composer, arranger and educator.  She holds a Bachelor's of Music in Performance from Berklee College of Music and has studied with some of the greatest names in jazz.  Upon graduating Berklee, Amanda returned home to the Bay Area and began performing and teaching full time with residencies at some of San Francisco's finest venues including The Palace Hotel & Savanna Jazz Club.  In more recent years she has studied with local opera singer and vocal educator Lee Strawn as well as renowned jazz vocalist and educator Tierney Sutton. 


Currently she maintains a private studio of over 35 students, heads the vocal department at Sir Francis Drake High School in San Anselmo, CA and has joined the roster of world class musicians to teach at the California Jazz Conservatory in Berkeley, CA. She released her debut album, Aglow, in 2012 and is planning her second release slated for fall of 2017. Her style is one of many influences converging through the language of the jazz tradition. It is her mission to not only share her perspective on the music through performance but to educate and expose musicians of all levels and backgrounds to the tradition so the art for will continue to evolve and thrive.

Formed in 2009, the Amanda Addleman Band has set out to change the landscape of the modern jazz band.  From it’s inception, the group has been bringing together sounds from many different aesthetics all woven together through the jazz tradition. Their virtuosic, yet dynamic improvising has won acclaim all over the Bay Area.
